The Clean Air Campaign and News/Talk 750 WSB are challening metro Atlantans to give their cars a day off.
Pick a day between Monday, June 18 and Friday, June 22 to find another way to work -- try MARTA, a carpool, a bike or walk. If your boss is up for it, you could even telework.
All Atlanta commuters are urged to sign up. Employer/partners of the Clean Air Campaign are making a special effort to have their employees participate in "Give Your Car A Day Off."
If everyone in the region found an alternative way to work one day a week, there would be a 20 percent reduction in traffic -- not to mention commuting costs, improved air quality, reduced stress, etc.
