National jewelry designer, Mark Edge, announces his first eco-friendly jewelry line titled, "ecovintage." Staying true to the Mark Edge signature style, ecovintage presents one-of-a-kind pieces, deceptive in their simplicity, by using reclaimed metals and woods, old stock chains and fittings, and vintage crystals. The line for both men and women, features necklaces, earrings, and bracelets and uses environmental conscious materials, pushing them beyond their conventional uses for a collection that speaks to the, sustainable, "less is more," fashion of today.
The handcrafted line is an evolution of his widely popular namesake collection. With an acute attention to detail, the collection incorporates conversation-starting charms, sought after crystals, and trendsetting colors to evoke an element of sustainable luxury. Whether it is a simple peace sign charm, grouping of unique reclaimed links in a necklace chain, or a bold pistol pendant, ecovintage subtly speaks loudly in support of the planet.
During the recent eco-renovation of his turn-of-the-century Atlanta home, Mark found himself inspired by the tarnished brass and dark stained trim used in the home¹s original detailing. For Mark, reinventing these elements became the foundation of ecovintage. Just as his house went from old to new, Mark gives old charms, pendants, and crystals an updated, yet timeless, look by pairing them with silver and gold metals.
"Vintage jewelry lines have the potential to look old and worn out, but I melded the old and new to create a fresh look," says Mark. "I designed my home to last for the next 100 years and have done the same with the ecovintage collection. Both are timeless and elegant."
Focusing on his new mantra "eco is the new bling," Mark Edge's ecovintage collection is beautiful for those who wear it and for the planet, creating a guilt-free shopping experience for the socially conscious consumer. "More and more people are walking the talk when it comes to saving the planet and ecovintage lets them do that in style," says Mark.
