The Sustainable Living Road Show pulls into Emory University on Sept. 20 and 21. This caravan of educators and entertainers is touring the country in a fleet of renewable fuel vehicles to empower communities and individuals to utilize sustainable living strategies for a healthier planet. Visiting K-12 schools, university campuses and community festivals across the United States, the caravan sets up off-the-grid eco-carnivals with experiential learning villages, featuring workshops, speakers and entertainment. They recently had great success with their shows at the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
SLR's Be the Change is launched by the organization, the Sustainable Living Roadshow, whose members have over 700,000 miles of collective sustainable fuels touring across the U.S., Central America, and West Africa. Additionally, with over 20 partner groups, SLR acts as a container for organizations and businesses leading the way in creating environmental and social change to come together and broaden our outreach and exposure.
With the success of films like the The 11th Hour and An Inconvenient Truth, the rise of events such as Green Fest and Live Earth, combined with what seems to be unprecedented amounts of catastrophes like earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, and tsunamis, the American Public are beginning to realize that Global Climate Change is a serious threat to human survival. People are now asking, "Now what? What's Next? What do we do about this?"
The Sustainable Living Road Show's Be the Change Tour models and brings the answers, and uses the platforms of festivals and entertainment to make learning fun! These events are designed to showcase the local options and solutions individuals and communities can utilize, right at home!
