The 2009 Green Roofs for Sustainable Communities Conference, Awards, and Trade Show will be held in Atlanta the weekend of June 3rd. The Conference will feature more than 45 internationally renowned speakers covering such topics as: Unraveling the energy/water/carbon conservation sequestration equation, Understanding plant survival and the role of climate, water and growing media, Green wall design optimization, and Integrated designs for water management. It will also host the inaugural Green Roof Professional (GRP) Accreditation Exam on Friday June 5.
Also, if you bring along a colleague to the conference, Green Roofs for Healthy Cities will reward you with a complimentary CD compilation of Green Roof's first five years of speaker presentations from past annual conferences.
June 3rd also brings the opportunity to participate in the first annual GRHC Golf Tournament at the Bobby Jones Golf Course. The event is open to all GRHC members, their employees, guests, spouses and prospective members. The cost to participate is $140 per person and covers green and cart fees, a six pack of beer, logo t-shirt, and barbecue dinner. Proceeds will benefit the Green Infrastructure Foundation. No clubs?
