HGTV's Justin Cave Hosts Eco-Friendly Landscape Series

From May 23-31, Justin Cave, host of HGTV's hit show Ground Breakers, will partner with Pace Homebuilders to host a series of free workshops designed to teach the benefits of drought tolerant landscaping and to provide tips for easy, do-it-yourself eco-friendly landscaping.

Landscaping techniques to be addressed include: installation of rainwater reclamation systems, the best plans and materials for a sustainable lawn, composting, eco-friendly paver installation, Rain Barrel installation, water gardens, erosion control and drainage, Xeriscape techniques, Container Gardening, Organic Vegetable Gardening and Backyard Wildlife habitat projects and certifications.

The series will take place at Pace Homebuilders' Greenhaven, a model for green building and sustainable design that will open to the public in 2009. Cave's innovations will help to make Greenhaven eco-friendly by incorporating indigenous plants and water saving techniques and technologies to create a drought-tolerant environment.

The workshops will be held May 23-31 at Greenhaven, 2380 Chelsea Landing Way, Marietta, Georgia, 30062.

Greenhaven will host a series of educational seminars for industry professionals as well as public tours benefiting the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. For a complete listing of events associated with Greenhaven's green landscape series, visit: www.greenhavenhome.com.
